November 2004 - Enhancing Motivation and Behaviour Change in Brain Injury Rehabilitation
In November 2004 N-Able Services hosted a two day workshop by David Manchester, Clinical Neuropsychologist.
David was an excellent and entertaining presenter, and the two days were excellent value. The course was attended by case managers within the organisation and by clinicians from local private and statutory services. The day was well received and gave a wonderful opportunity for all concerned to develop their skills.

April 2005 - In-house Training Day
On 8th April N-Able held an in-service Training Day. Topics covered were evaluation of complex care needs with a specific review of child care and the issues and complexities surrounding this. Preparation of Joint statements was another topic covered on the training day. The impact of recent judgements on consideration of care costs and case management was also considered.
The day proved an excellent opportunity for team building.
Our thanks also to Lewis Reed who brought along a number of adapted vehicles in order that we could see the differences and types of adaptations available.

July 2005 - Parachute Jump for Charity!
On 27 July 2005 our team of willing!!! volunteers arrived at Langar airfield Nottingham at the early hour of 8 a.m. to meet the Red Devils team that would be taking them through their skydive parachute jump. Although the day was cloudy and cold, usual British Summer!! our four willing team members all successfully undertook the charity jump in order to raise money for Headway - the brain injury association. A big thank you to the Red Devils who put everyone at their ease and helped make the day special.
Thanks also to our team members who despite many anxious moments were determined to go ahead with the jump and of course a big thank you to all those that sponsored us, your donations made the day possible and help to raise in the region of £3,000.00. Well done to the team and many thanks to all our supporters.

Therapists joined Case Managers in attending a Witness Familiarisation Court Training, delivered by Bond Solon. Bond Solon is the UK's leading legal training consultancy for non-lawyers. They are the market leaders in providing innovative, relevant and experiential courses that are designed to improve performance in the work place.
The case managers and some consultants had the opportunity to attend a study day on witness familiarisation. This was an invaluable day, although daunting for those of us who have not had the pleasure of being in the box yet! The information learned from the day will remain with many for a long time to come. We hope to repeat the training for new staff in the future.

ABI NETWORKING DAY
On the 17th October we held a networking day at our office. This was an opportunity for companies in a similar field to introduce themselves to each other and pass on knowledge and information. We were a little apprehensive about who would accept our invitation, but were delighted when over 20 representatives from companies all over the North West attended.
We would like to thank all for their attendance and help to make this an informative day.

OCTOBER 2009 - FAMILY DAY
We recognise that families play an extremely important role in the rehabilitation process, when some-one close to them has suffered an Acquired Brain Injury. We often hear that families feel there is little or no support, advice and information for them as they attempt to come to terms with this life changing event. So on Saturday 17th October we held a family day for the parents and relatives of our clients. We received positive feedback from this day, and we will look forward to holding others in the future.

BOND SOLON - Update to Part 35 rules
As experts N-Able Services have been looking into training with regards to the changes to Part 35 rules. Bond Solon recommended their ½ day training, however this was only available in London and expensive, especially when you add on travel costs. We therefore arranged for them to hold their training at the N-Able offices, enabling us to reduce the cost to other experts in the North West Region.
We held the training on two days Monday 23rd November, & Wednesday 16th December.
